Having spent the past five years working in Boston, I’ve seen a lot of the city. For a time I worked in an ice cream shop, an experience that allowed me to see a different side of Boston. Behind the shop was the alley for all the stores on that block. The alley was grimy and eerie and nothing at all like the street just on the other side of the buildings.

Before and after work, I spent a lot of time walking around Back Bay and the South End. Wherever I wandered, I loved looking down the alleys between streets and seeing how each one was unique. This project is an exploration of the weird and wonderful alleyways of Boston.
